I’m a big fan of turmeric and it’s anti-inflammatory properties, but not a big fan of the taste. I tried the golden milk recipes for a few weeks and just never enjoyed them. Then I switched to turmeric supplements, so I could get them down easier. A bit of a cheat, but at least I was getting my daily turmeric.

Today I found a great site called Paleo Gluten Free Eats with amazing healthy recipes. When I saw the Turmeric Latte recipe and realized I have most of the ingredients, I decided to give it a try. Let’s give the turmeric powder another chance. And WOW, am I glad I did!

Now I have this delicious recipe that I can make every day, and I most likely will. It tastes that good!

Take a look at these healthy ingredients. You’ll have to pinch yourself that you’re doing something good for your body each time you drink it.

Turmeric and Curcumin

A powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Improves brain function and lowers risk of diseases. Useful in preventing and treating Alzheimer’s. Lowers your risk of heart disease. Helps prevent and treat cancer. Helps arthritis pain and inflammation, depression, and slows down aging. Best absorbed when taken with black pepper. Ginger

Aids in digestion and treats nausea. Reduces muscle pain and soreness. Anti-inflammatory. Reduced blood sugar and lowers heart disease. Reduces menstrual pain. Lowers cholesterol. May help prevent cancer, improve brain function, and prevent Alzheimer’s.

Cinnamon

Loaded with antioxidants. Anti-inflammatory. Reduce the risk of heart disease. Improve insulin sensitivity and lowers blood sugar. May help with neurodegenerative diseases and protect against cancer. Helps fight bacterial and fungal infections.

Look at all that goodness you’re getting in one glass! And you can top it off with some coconut whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkles. It’s like cake in a cup. Woo Hoo!

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cup almond milk
¼ cup raw cashews (optional to make creamier, I didn’t use them)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ teaspoon turmeric powder
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon vanilla powder (I didn’t have this)
dash of nutmeg (I didn’t have this)
pinch of fresh cracked black pepper
pinch of sea salt
stevia liquid to taste or 2 tablespoons maple syrup (I used syrup)
cup of ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender for 1-3 minutes and ENJOY!

I use my Ninja blender all the time and love it. Find it HERE for a great price.

Seriously, try not to let the kids drink yours after they gobble up theirs. You may have to hide in a closet.😂

After years of chronic health problems with migraines and IBS, I began to realize drinking more water helped with many of my problems. When my mom developed Alzheimer's and osteoporosis, I decided to make a lifestyle change so that I didn't have the same future. Change isn't easy, but I hope that we can prevent chronic illness and disease by living a healthier life.
